This Monday night was another huge night at the JDMST x Downshift meet at Carseldine. Thanks go once again to Nando’s and the Qld Police for helping us out. I’d say the showing was once again 350+ cars throughout the night, and happily, most were well-behaved. A thank you is in order for those who help us out by being sensible, and saving the hoonery for another time and place.
Ok, onto the photos. I have put together my highlights of the night, and have included some of Drew’s photos for a bit of variety.
My friend Brad’s WRX. Looking good buddy!
Evo 5.
There’s just something about the AE86 that I can’t put my finger on. Do want. All 3.
Loving the plates! Very clean. But next time, not in the disabled park, ehh?
The front of the queue.
Kez’s metallic blue Evo. Check the fitment on the CCWs.
This makes me happy.
Some Euro guys also came to check out the festivities. Always good to see various different genres!
Rad fitment on this fabulous 1980s A60 Supra/Celica. Just take a second to appreciate the shape!
While we’re on the topic of old-school, this is officially my favourite car of the whole night. Mint condition 1970s EB Honda Civic.
What is it about old-school Toyotas that makes them so awesome??
A couple of hardcore GTRs that you’ve probably seen in the scene… The yellow one needed refuelling with E85.
Ivan’s FD3S. Anyone have a RHS headlight cover to hook him up with?
An S15 after my own heart. Clean!
And in contrast, a piggish Ceffy. Many a good nights were had with this thing.
Cool S13 with some pretty sweet plates. Enjoy buddy :)
FD3S with matt black wrap. Nice.
Nissan Micra. Kawaiii!!
And on the way out…
Got bags?!?
Drew:
Unfortunately I didn’t get too camera-happy, was too busy chatting away! Was great to catch up and meet new people, as well as see some nicely done cars; props to all of those who came out and enjoyed yourselves!
This Merc grabbed a lot of attention. Can never beat the class of these old girls!
And another!
Lots of very nice S chassis Nissans there, as per usual, this stunning example being one of them.
The Hyundai to the right is unapologetically JDM. Oh, another S15 also.
Roman’s tidy S14 series II rocking GTR 33 & 34 staggered shoes!
For me, one of the biggest standouts of the night was this Evo 9 on CCWs. Stay tuned.
Plenty of crazy Micras out and about!
That’s all from me folks. Keep it original, see you all next time.
