After covering Ellaspede’s launch party a few months ago, the DS crew was lucky enough to score an invite to Leo and Steve’s official store opening at West End.
If you didn’t see that particular post, the guys at Ellaspede produce completely custom, one off motorbikes, as well as a range of sophisticated, high quality apparel and leathergoods.
When we arrived, the place was PACKED. We found a park and headed inside, just in time to hear some official words from the guys, before being handed a glass of wine to sate our thirsts.
I proceeded to check out the workshop, and was immediately reminded of the Zen Garage shop in Sydney, owned by our good friend Justin Fox of JDMST fame. This is a great thing, I just wish there was something like this for car guys in Brisbane!!
The food and alcohol were both delicious, and a projector was beaming vintage/custom car and bike related footage onto the adjacent wall all night.
Good times! Hopefully the guys will have a chance to bring a couple of bikes down to the next DS meet.
