The second edition of Porsche Rennsport was held the last Saturday of April. I was pretty excited, as were all the Porsche owners and enthusiasts who made the trip to Sydney Motorsport Park for the weekend.
Race teams from the Porsche Carrera Cup and Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge were a massive draw card, with some big names lending their talent. The Urban Outlaw, Magnus Walker was also in town for the event, so it was shaping up to be a proper weekend of racing and rubber necking.
Walkinshaw GT3 brought their Porsche 911 GT3 R along. Amazing to see and hear it.
The Joest Racing Porsche LMP1 doing the rounds.
Followed close behind by the 1977 Lemans #41 Martini Racing 935.
The flying kiwi Shane Van Gisbergen in the pits during the Carrera Cup first practice. A week ago he was racing a GT McLaren around Monza. Legend.
What would happen if Ron Goodman Racing and the NSW Police joined forces? This.
The RWB Australia running deep dish Fifteen 52s.
So many duckbills!
The Urban Outlaw, Magnus Walker.
And now for something completely different. A Porsche Diesel Junior tractor.
Can’t wait for the next Rennsport!
