With the World Time Attack Challenge just around the corner, many teams are pushing to get as much testing as they can done. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to document the second test day for the Mercury Motor Sport team. Mercury had been working around the clock to finish this epic R35 GT-R, and it was finally completed and ready for track testing after recieving its final carbon fibre body pieces.

The built GT-R has absolutely phenomenal speed around the track, consisting of an AMS big-bore built engine, AMS Alpha 10 turbo kit, custom spec head & more!

Let’s not forget the aero either, which, from my understanding, has been developed by an ex-formula engineer. That means it not only looks amazing, but functions incredibly well; just look at the rear diffuser!

The car was running really consitantly over the whole  day, resulting in a 55.2 second lap around the Clubman circuit!
