écurie25 is the longest established and largest supercar club in the world. With 9 clubs across USA, UK and Australia – members have access to a mouth-watering collection of over 70 of the most desirable cars in the world. When Downshift asked for someone in Sydney to be at the écurie25 Italian night, I couldn’t help but say yes immediately – any other pre-planned activities would have to be worked around for this opportunity!

Arriving at the somewhat obscure and top secret-like location  that amounted to a singular black garage door in a narrow alley in Sydney’s urban neighbourhood of Chippendale, I was instantly feeling a bit of James Bond / Bruce Wayne. Keeping up with that theme, I was met by a red carpet, a guest list, glasses of wine and an extremely stealthy looking matte black Lamborghini Aventador.

The Italian Night theme didn’t let anybody down with some beautiful examples showcasing some of écurie25’s inventory for members. 4 beautifully crafted and Italian designed vehicles occupied the space: a Lamborghini Aventador, Gallardo Superleggera, Maserati Gran Turismo MC and a Ferrari 458 Spider. Not the most common vehicles on Sydney’s roads.

The excellent food complemented the Italian theme beautifully. From breadsticks, salami to pizza slices, bottles of Peroni and mini gelato cones to top it off.  The attention to detail evident in the cars was reflected in e25’s ability to give the best service and experience to their members.

As the night progressed and more and more guests filled the very cool urban, industrial space it became apparent that the night and indeed écurie25 was not only about the exotic supercars but about a lifestyle and people. It was great to see that like many other clubs, écurie25 allows people to share a common interest whilst still being able to chat among one another about anything and everything. The smiles and volume of conversation reinforced how inviting club members were to one another and to those interested in joining.

The night did not end at e25’s Sydney location either, with members heading out towards Sydney’s King St Wharf, right beside Darling Harbour for dinner. Despite the rain, the atmosphere was still jovial and bright, although the Aventador didn’t look too bright. More angry that it was in the rain… tough luck.

Even the Police enjoyed a good perv of the lovely Lamborghini pair.

Here I’d like to thank Downshift for organising me to cover such a nice night with some of the finest cars in Sydney and Australia and ecurie25 and their staff for hosting such a welcome and warm night. Make sure to check out the whole photo set on Form & Function’s flickr and facebook!
