The meet held weekly at Harry’s Diner last Thursday night was quite successful, with the cockhead element kept to a minimum and the variety of cars quite vast, proving to be great visual candy for all of us car nuts there. Was nice meeting some new faces as well – if you ever see me around, don’t hesitate to say hi and ask for a picture of your car, even if I don’t get a picture of it straight away I will try my best to work it into a shot later on in the night. Also, my apologies to everyone I told I would post this article on Friday… that obviously didn’t happen haha – but it’s here now so I hope you like it!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Of course, like last time, I will start my article off with my dinner for the night – this time I went with sushi that had been in my glove box for all afternoon, mmmm yummy!

The Nissan drivers seem to be some of the first lot to arrive, mostly driving a Silvia of some sort. This example here had some phat as f*ck rear wheels, which everyone wanted to ogle over.

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Twins!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

This S15 here would have to be my pick out of all the Silvias, if not the whole meet! I just love the stance of the thing, so aggressive – I love it!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

The wheels on this R32 are very ‘love it or hate it’, but I tend to really like it, I especially dig the space saver!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

This old beetle grabbed my attention straight away, looked mean as!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Freaking loved the way this Merc’ looked, so gangsta!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Pulsars represent! I own an N14 SSS so I’m a little biased.. haha

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

This example is such a sleeper – N15 sedan with a turbo strapped on it to create those “wtf just happened” moments when people drag it at the lights..

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

GTi-Rs are just cool I think, so understated but they’re a baby godzilla. Now do you all see why I like Pulsars? =P

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

There’s nothing too spectacular about this shot, although there is a story behind it – as I was taking this picture, I heard a loud crunching coming from behind me, so I figured one of the cars had hit something…

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

So I go for walk to find the car that just got potentially owned, when I see a bunch of guys crowding around this S14..

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Yup, I was right, “owned” was the correct term to use. What happened was it hit the entry drive way, completely cracked the front bar – the perks of owning a modified import!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Here’s Ant’s latest acquisition, quite different to his old Starlet GT, I can’t wait to see what he’ll do to this one!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Had a chat to the owner about how this all came about, and apparently he spilt some brake fluid (it was brake fluid, right?) on his bonnet, then curiosity got the better of him and it spread over the entire bonnet haha – nice!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Another example of unique ways of modifying different body panels on your car, although this one seems more common than the rusting in the picture before. The owner was a champion stopping so I could get a clear shot of his efforts. Also check the limited edition Bryce Jarrett watermark… it didn’t really work out how I’d hoped, plus it took forever to do hence why it is limited edition..

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

I have seen this Mercedes around before, but I’ve never been in a good position to get a photo of it – looks good/expensive, no?

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Sounds great, too! The pieces of metal tubing responsible for that awesome sound track!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Probably the most fun I have at these meets is when I get to take pictures of the cars in motion!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

While taking panning shots of the cars leaving/entering, I spotted something across the road behind the bushes – it was the unmistakable Hachi silhouette peering through the leaves, so I thought I’d go take a look and see why the hell it was across the street and not at Harry’s!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Couldn’t figure out why it was there, but I did think these plates were a nice touch..

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

Back to some panning! I can’t remember the name of the owner of this MX-5, but we did have a nice little chat, he also informed me this would be the first picture of his car on the internet – I hope this is worthy of taking it’s internet-virginity!

Harry's Diner 11/11/2010

While waiting for the cars to leave so I could get some shots I spotted this R34 GT-R drive past, was a bit devo they didn’t pull into Harry’s for a quick lap at least, but it was a good night out nevertheless, and I hope to be sharing more photos with you all more frequently in the near future!
