In a fit of Thursday night boredom, I decided to check out one of the regular Harry’s Diner meets held here in Brisbane, and was glad to see a few mates had also made it there. I got there a bit early so the crowd was a bit patchy, but the cops had already turned up for their usual patrols, and I’m told they’re always around at these meets. Luckily, they weren’t there to be haters and reaming people for breaking various minor rules. Actually now that I think about it, recently I’ve been having really good experiences with police at car meets. They have been rocking up, making themselves known and just spectating and chatting to some of the guys at meets, which is awesome to see! This kind of approach still has the desired effect of keeping dickheads calm/away, and no one is there to get raped with a baton sans-lube. So I think I speak for all the car guys when I say “thanks”. Would be great to see this continue!
