What would you do if you heard a knock at the door and opened it to find Miranda Kerr (click) standing in the doorway telling you she was all yours?
Well you’d send her in to have some work done obviously! o.O
So begins the tale of this E92 M3 “Pure Edition”. The Pure Edition M3 is a lighter version of the ‘base’ M3 and is fitted with gloss black side flutes, bonnet vents and grill and individual exhaust tips dipped in dark chrome. Limited to 100 models nationally, there were only 50 of the coupes and 50 sedans. After purchasing Miranda the M3, the owner Ben sent it off to for some love.
Aesthetically not a HUGE deal has changed, however the slightest modifications can still drastically alter a car. With 20″ Forged 1 Wheels custom made for the car running Vredestein tyres in a 265 up front and a massive, but well needed 295 on the rear, H&R Springs, a Vorsteiner Carbon front lip and a 3D Designs carbon rear diffuser, the car sits with an allure that draws you in, but is aggressive enough to let you know it’s perhaps not to be trifled with.
In fact, the performance of this M3 is very far from stock. Packing an RPI forced intake kit and Gintani (Keep your eyes peeled for these guys, some very cool stuff coming from them in the very near future) race exhaust with 100 cell cats and custom valve system the 3 series is breathing easier. Which is important when you have a full VF650 Supercharger system. Being the full air-to-water aftercooled supercharger system, everything is included as well as a custom ECU flash for the factory computer. Running a very mild 7.5-8psi through the V3-SQ Supercharger and pushing it through the VF Intake Manifold (with the integrated aftercooler), WHAT EV packs a very cool 570rwhp.
The way the kit is mounted, it looks just like factory. Plastic engine covers and all. So we focused on the appeal of the outside.
Whichever way I look at the car, its beauty has me in awe. It’s almost like wherever you stand the car has an eye on you. Like it’s stalking you.
I wish I had audio footage of this car. The resonating growl that comes from the quad tips is enough to intimidate any of the supercars.
So if you see this on the street. Don’t think shrug it off like “WHAT EV” because you’ll need to be packing to get the jump on this one.
Edit: Ben and I headed down to ModBall late last year in this car.
On the way down, we stopped at a couple of picturesque spots to take a few more photos.
