We wanted to mark the second birthday of DownshiftAus with a grand celebration of close friends and sweet rides, and so the Downshift Invitational was born. Thanks to all for attending, we had a great day, so on with the pics!
When Tom rolled in with his slammed EG to our first meet spot at BP Coomera, jaws dropped. One of the lowest street-driven cars I’ve seen at the meets.
Gus’ 32 GTR. Currently making over 500 horses at all 4.
No shortage of EG Civics, but I just never get sick of looking at them.. The FFamily guys making a strong showing:
Emilio’s EG with genuine OEM hood bra, and rare-as-hen’s-teeth front lip, which is actually a first-mould item. The only one in Aus?
We rolled north on the freeway, and I got the chance to hang out of Rory’s GT for some rolling shots. Have tried a few different edits here, let me know your thoughts guys! Lets kick off with one of my favourites, Alex’s EGg:
Marko’s newly-grey EK:
Club High Rollers also making an appearance with a few cars, one of them being this S14a:
So clean, so fresh:
Bright colours just pop so well..
My favourite image of the set:
We then rolled into Morayfield BP, where heads were turned, especially by Chuey’s BNR34 GTR on 19″ TE37s, and more tasty bits than a meal at Sunnybank (can you say Z-tune guards?). These 2 riders were certainly not immune, despite belonging to a different camp…
JustDave was kind enough to let me quickly check out the new Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS II. Check out the compression in these shots:
Hehehe *insert trolling image here*
The streetkarnage guys hanging out:
Rorz charming the ladies.
Steve and Alex. When one smartphone isn’t enough…
And to finish off with, this one is more motivation for me to buy another one of these than anything else…
Hope you enjoyed the coverage, and leave a comment below! -Matyi
