When I was recently in Bangkok, I decided that I would go and check out Bangkok Auto Salon with the Infinite Motorsports guys, after their grand opening.
After rocking up to their shop the night before opening day, we packed the LB 35 GTR, the LB 335i Convertible and the LB Aventador on car trailers, and set off to the Impact Convention Centre with a Royal Thai Police escort (!!).
On rocking up, we unloaded, and I ran straight in to capture some clean shots of cars without huge crowds in the way!
This just makes me think of Lil Bow Wow’s fist-car in Tokyo Drift!
The Thailand Super Series had a bunch of GT cars on display, starting with this GT3 Huracan..
and GT3 R8..
and all-carbon GT4 KTM X-Bow prepared by Reiter Engineering.
There was a creation called the Black Pearl on display. I believe it may have been a Lexus in it’s previous incarnation. The amount of work in this was insane!
Lots of other wonderful things around also, like jetskis, utes, vans, bikes..
Check out this scrambler!
Drag Corolla
Possibly the wildest SW20 MR2 I’ve ever seen.
Those Meisters!!
Throwback!! Third-gen Spoon Civic race car. So sick.
Little Honda S660 NeoClassic Concept
Sitting next to the Top Fuel S2000. 2 opposite ends of the spectrum!
I don’t even know what to say about this, other than that it was an FD3S at some point in its past life, before they went absolutely bat shit crazy with the body.
Widebody coupes were everywhere…
With R35 GT-Rs being the most common.
This RB Toyota 86 was one of my favourites, once again by the boys at Infinite. All black everything.
You probably haven’t seen too many widebody E30s around. The execution on this one was immaculate!
They love their utes in Thailand!
This D-MAX was tuned with perfect taste.
Lots of promo girls around too, but I didn’t snap many of them. Was too focused on the cars.
One of the highlights of the show for me was the latest MX-5, tuned by Aimgain, sporting 3-piece Work Miester M1s under their gorgeous wide body panels, CF diffuser and titanium exhaust.
They also had their R35 GT-R next to it, but by this time I was all GT-Rd out.
By this point the boys had set up the IM stand, so I grabbed a couple of highlight shots.
Huge thanks again to the Infinite Motorsport boys for an awesome trip!!
